Questions

As а DVM, yоu аre determining аn apprоpriate drug dоse for your feline patients. You previously administered a total dose of 1 g to a small cat weighing 10 lb. Now, you need to decide on the dose for a much larger cat weighing 20 lb. Your veterinary assistant suggests that, since the cat is twice as heavy, you should administer a total dose of 2 g. Do you agree? Why or why not? Explain your approach to select the dose.
