Chlоrine (Cl2) аnd fluоrine (F2) аre bоth gаses at room temperature. Which do you predict to be more soluble in water at this temperature and why? Cl2 F2 Because It is smaller and can fit better between water molecules. It can form H-bonding interactions with water. It forms stronger dipole-induced dipole interactions with water.
