Cоmmоn Cоquis (Eleutherodаctylus coquis) аre smаll frogs native to Puerto Rico that are named for the loud, distinctive breeding calls males produce (see video link below). Males typically begin calling at sundown and the choruses of male calls continue until sunrise, with individual males calling in bouts that last anywhere from 10 sec to 2 minutes with several minute breaks between. What kind of information (signal messages) do you think the males are trying to communicate to other Common Coquis in their breeding calls? Identify and explain at least three different specific pieces of information that are likely transmitted in these calls.
