Questions

Freckling is а phenоtypic expressiоn оf а dominаnt trait [Freckles allele (A); No freckles allele (a)] You have two parents, both of whom have freckles. Parent 1 is heterozygous while Parent 2 is homozygous dominant for freckling. What is the genotype of Parent 1? (yellow cells - one allele per box) What is the genotype of Parent 2? (blue cells - one allele per box) Complete a Punnett square. It should look like the table provided below. Use the 'table' function in the text box ribbon to create your own when composing your answer. (Note: Row 1 will include the alleles for Parent 1, and Column 1 will include the alleles for Parent 2; the larger white boxes will show their possible offspring, which will result in exactly two alleles in each box). Using the results of your Punnett Square: What are the possible genotypes and their frequencies?  What are the the possible phenotypes and their frequencies?  To answer A & B, recall that to obtain a frequency you must count each possible unique outcome and divide that summation by 4 (the number of boxes which represent possible offspring).
