City Museum decided to cut out the cost of the independent builder, hired Dino away from DisplayCo, and had him build the display for the museum. DisplayCo sued City Museum for $50,000, the value of the work done by Dino and his DisplayCo team. This amount was based on the rates DisplayCo charged customers who wanted a design only, and not DesignCo’s construction services.
