Determine the machine's book value as of December 31, 2024, using the DDB method. Part C: Mid-Year Acquisition Assume instead that Sunshine Manufacturing purchased the machine on July 1, 2024. The company records depreciation based on the number of months the asset is in service during the year. Calculate the depreciation expense for 2024 under the straight-line method. Calculate the depreciation expense for 2024 under the double-declining balance method.
