Patient Scenario: Sandy is a 66-year old female admitted to the ICU with respiratory failure .  She is currently sedated, on a mechanical ventilator and receiving the antibiotic azithromycin.  Ht: 165 cm          Wt: 73 kg            Temp: 39.3°C          Ve: 12 L/min                 Propofol: 10 ml/hr     Penn State 2010: Mifflin (0.71) + T max C˚(85) + Ve (64) - 3085    

An 18/F аrrives tо the ED viа EMS. Her Glаscоw Cоma Scale (GCS) is 6. The paramedic reports that the patient was at work when she suddenly grabbed her head and told her co-worker her head suddenly felt a sharp, strong pain. She vomited once, and then became unresponsive. VS upon arrival are: BP 210/104, HR 100, RR - intubated by EMS and respirations are managed by RT. SPO2%: 93% with bag valve mask via endotrachial tube. The RN suspects the patient has an intracranial hemorrhage. What is the priority intervention when the CT confirms a subarachnoid hemorrhage?
