Chalazion forceps were used to grasp the upper eyelid. The surface of the chalazion was incised. The contents of the chalazion were curetted. Chalazion forceps were removed. Hemostasis was achieved. Operаtive Repоrt PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Spinаl cоrd stimulаtоr battery replacement POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Spinal cord stimulator battery replacement OPERATION PERFORMED: Removal of spinal cord stimulator batteries and replacement with new batteries INDICATIONS: The patient was a 67-year-old male who had a spinal cord stimulator implanted approximately five years ago. He returned because of lack of functioning in this system. A decision was made to proceed with removal of the old batteries and replacement with new ones. The patient understood the risks and benefits of the procedure. DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE: The patient was placed in supine position, and the area where the batteries were located on the left side was prepped and draped in sterile fashion. The patient was infiltrated with lidocaine 1 percent. The area was reopened with a #15 blade, and the batteries were removed from the pocket and disconnected from the lead wires. A new battery system was reconnected. The wound was closed with 3-0 Vicryl and staples for skin. There were no complications and no specimens. Procedure code:
