One of the people who received this email was this employee’s supervisor, who received it for scheduling purposes but was not part of the treatment team.

In April of 2023, Dr. Namor used his access, as a resident doctor, to Memorial East’s electronic medical records system to access Patient1’s medical records and learn private medical information about Patient1 without Patient1’s knowledge or consent. Dr. Namor accessed Patient1’s medical records while working a shift in Memorial East’s emergency department. Patient1 was never Dr. Namor’s patient and was not a patient in Memorial East’s emergency department at the time Dr. Namor accessed their medical records. Dr. Namor also admitted that, in July of 2023, he sent a photograph of one of Memorial East’s patients (Patient2) to his mother via SnapChat. The photograph showed Patient2 in a hospital setting, wearing a gown, with their rectum clearly hanging out of their body. Dr. Namor sent the photograph to his mother to remind her of the importance of fiber intake.
