Over the course of the semester, we’ve covered modern American history from the Civil War Era, to the dawn of WWII. Of all of the political, social, and economic issues we’ve covered, which episodes from our past seem to still have an impact on the United States today? What contemporary issues seem most connected to some of the problems of the past? Think of a few examples and explain the connections between past and present.
