Pleаse review the Delgаdо Cоmmunity Cоllege Physicаl Science Department Technology Requirements. Access to technology resources is required for all Online and Remote Instruction courses. The college has computing facilities to support students when the college is open, but for online course students we strongly recommend that students have their own technology resources to maximize access to course material at any given time for reviewing course materials and communications. Online courses in the Science and Math Division use Canvas, the college-wide Learning Management System, and many courses use online homework systems, such as myLab, WileyPlus, WebAssign, MindTap, etc. Online Testing is monitored through online programs such as, Respondus Lockdown Browser with Webcam Monitor, ProctorU, or other testing software technologies that require Webcam Video Monitoring. If your current equipment is insufficient, the following checklist is a helpful guide when planning to purchase or upgrade personal technology resources to ensure compatibility with the various software packages used in online courses: Hardware Requirements Checklist A student should have a computer with the following: 2 GHz processor or faster High-speed Internet connection of 3 Mb/s or better 4 GB RAM or greater 64 GB system storage or larger Built-in or external speakers.
