Fоrming Third Declensiоn nоuns The pаrаdigm nouns we will use for forming the 3rd declension аre rēx, rēgis m. ("king"), virtūs, virtūtis f. ("virtue, courage") and corpus, corporis n. ("body"). Masculine and feminine nouns observe the same formation, and so rēx and virtūs will have identical endings. Neuter nouns like corpus, however, observe similar patterns as other neuter nouns, and are therefore slightly different. Watch the following video to see the formation of these nouns.
