Key participants in the "Houthi PC small group" included Pete Hegseth (Defense Secretary), Michael Waltz (National Security Advisor), JD Vance (Vice President), Susie Wiles (White House Chief of Staff), Marco Rubio (Secretary of State), and Tulsi Gabbard (Director of National Intelligence). After attending the chat, Goldberg went public with his mistaken invitation. His article in The Atlantic leveled several persuasive attacks against the Administration.  Below are some excerpts from Goldberg's article about being invited to attend this national security chat on Signal. Identify three persuasive attacks in these excerpts: ------Goldberg writes, “I had very strong doubts that this text group was real, because I could not believe that the national-security leadership of the United States would communicate on Signal about imminent war plans.” He continues, “I also could not believe that the national security adviser to the president would be so reckless as to include the editor in chief of The Atlantic in such discussions with senior U.S. officials, up to and including the vice president.”  Goldberg writes that he received the information “two hours before the scheduled start of the bombing. He explains "if the timing of these strikes had fallen into the wrong hands…American pilots and other American personnel could have been exposed to even greater danger.” He writes, “the consequences for American pilots could have been catastrophic.” The information “could conceivably have been used to harm American military and intelligence personnel. Goldberg reminds his readers that President Trump had “repeatedly and vociferously demanded that Hillary Clinton be imprisoned for using a private email server for official business” and yet, the Secretary of Defense and members of the Trump administration were using Signal, a non-classified personal messaging platform, to discuss national security matters.
