Under his feet, two nude men bend or crouch down. The second image, to our right, is carved with three horizontal bands. In the top register, a man, double the size of other people in this area, walks in a procession behind several people who hold standards. Ten headless bodies are stacked in two vertical columns to our right. Each decapitated person’s head is tucked between their feet. The register below is the tallest on this side. It shows two creatures with leopards’ bodies and faces but with long, snaking necks that interlock around a circular depression in the stone. Two men hold onto the creature’s necks with ropes to either side. In the bottom register, a man is trampled beneath a bull’s hooves. Throughout the people are shown so that their faces are in profile but their bodies seem to face us.
