In-Persоn Written CоmpsYоu аre а counseling psychologist consulting with а student health and wellness (SHAW) center at a two-year college serving a rural Northern Plains region. The institution enrolls approximately 4,500 students, including traditional-age students, working adults, first-generation college students, veterans, and students from nearby Tribal and agricultural communities. Many students commute substantial distances, have family or employment responsibilities, and face limited access to transportation, childcare, and mental health or career services.College administrators are concerned that students experiencing career uncertainty are more likely to stop attending before completing a degree or certificate. Administrators at the Community College are considering implementing a brief, theory-based, career-development intervention for all incoming students. The intervention could be offered in-person, remotely, or in a hybrid format. Before adopting the program more broadly, SHAW wants to determine whether it improves students' career decision making and student retention following their first year of college. They are additionally concerned about the effectiveness of the program for the diverse populations served by the college.Research Study DesignDevelop a research study that would help SHAW evaluate the proposed career-development program and make informed decisions about its future implementation. Your study should be feasible within the college’s setting.Address the following areas in your response, including relevant citations throughout:Select one primary vocational theory, and using that theory, develop a three-session intervention that may be beneficial to incoming community college students. Describe the three sessions you are proposing, no more than a paragraph per session. Be sure to explain how the vocational theory provides the foundation fr each session. Be sure to include citations.Identify the central question or questions your study will address. Center your study in the goals that the college administration has set forth.Describe your research methodology (including citations), whether quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods design. Explain why this design is appropriate for the research questions and setting. Include your research questions and hypotheses (as appropriate).Identify outcome variables for your study, including at least two variables that line up with the theoretical bases of your intervention and (separately or together) that match the goals of the college administration. Identify any other predictor, moderator, mediator or contextual variables as appropriate.Detail what research analyses you would use (include citations). You do not have to include formulas but give us specifics on how you would use your research methodology to address each hypothesis or research questions.Discuss how contextual influences might affect/interact with vocational intervention, study participation, and the outcome of the study.Identify ethical concerns associated with the study.
