Each sentence has a number, so just write the number of each irrelevant sentence in the box, for example, #1, 2... 1 Pha That Luang is a beautiful monument to the independence of the Laotian people. 2 On top of a hill in the capital city, Pha That Luang can be seen for miles. 3 In fact, when I first saw it, I was at least ten miles away on a hike that made me feel so tired that I had to rest for over twenty minutes. 4 Its base is a square with four walls that look like large lotus petals. 5 Many buildings in Asia have flowers planted in front such as government offices and museums, but I do not know why. 6 Furthermore, at each corner is a stupa, and there is one gate on each of the four sides. 7 The gates open onto gentle stairs that take you to the second level. 8 The second level is another smaller square with thirty stupas surrounding it. 9 Most people eat their lunch at this level, so it has a lot of litter which makes me sad; they should put out some garbage cans. 10 The stupas are beautiful because of their simplicity. 11 The third level has the grandest stupa in the middle. 12 It reaches forty-five meters from the base of the monument to its top. 13 It is shaped like a long lotus bud, and on top of it is a decoration that looks like a banana flower with an umbrella on its top. 14 I wish I could show the flowers to my mother because she really likes to garden, and she especially loves exotic flowers although she hates hot weather. 15 The whole monument is covered in shining gold leaf. 16 When you think about it, I am sure a lot of money was spent to cover this huge monument, and it must cost a lot to keep it in good shape. 17 Indeed, Pha That Luang truly is a treasure for the Laotian people.Lotus (n): a type of flowerGold leaf (n): thin gold used to cover art or buildingsStupa (n): a type of Buddhist structure with a long, upright spire (spike)
