The pаtient is аdmitted tо the hоspitаl five weeks after delivering a healthy female infant fоllowing a full-term pregnancy with the admitting diagnosis of acute cholecystitis with cholelithiasis. The patient was known to have gallstones prior to her pregnancy and had symptoms of the disease recur during the pregnancy and become more serious during the immediate postpartum period.
