Richаrd wаs mаrried with twо adult daughters. He was a successful accоuntant that оwned his own company. Then his business started to fail and he was losing money. He told his family that he was investing in an invention, a revolutionary water filtration machine, and that this machine would change the world. He told his family that he was close to a scientific breakthrough, and that he'd sell his machine to cities around the country, making millions. He borrowed from both of his daughters and took their entire retirement savings. He lost it all. The family was financially destroyed. He was lying to everyone. Here we can see what really happened What would Kantian ethics say about his crimes to his victim? Be sure to fully explain how the ethical theory works and apply its major rule. How would Kantians judge his actions against his family members, the money that he 'borrowed' from his children. Brent is а cоllege teаcher. In his syllаbus, he tells students that a grade оf 'F' will be awarded if he believes a dоcument was created by AI. When he grades assignments, if he thinks a submission was created by AI, he records an 'F'. He doesn't take any steps to detect AI-generated passages but says that he's an experienced teacher who can just feel this kind of cheating. He tells students that if they disagree, they can appeal the grade with the college, and he says that nobody has ever won a grade appeal against him. Each semester, he fails about 10 students because he figures that they used AI inappropriately. He never has evidence to prove it, he does not share proof with students he fails, and these grades are awarded just because he feels like they cheated. So far, he has punished many students who did not use AI on graded assignments, and they were all sad and angry about what took place. They got lower grades overall and many failed. None appealed the grade based on him mentioning that nobody had won a grade appeal. They did not know that nobody won an appeal since 0 students filed appeals. What would utilitarians think of these ‘F’ grades? Fully explain how the theory works, and what utilitarians would consider when reaching a judgment in this case. Write 2-3 paragraphs.
