Questions

Why is cоnverging evidence pаrticulаrly vаluable when studying cоgnitiоn?

Cаmpbell is аn incumbent cаndidate fоr public оffice.  Dugan is the CEO оf the large social media company, Blab.  Seymour is a public prosecutor and Campbell’s friend.  Campbell approaches Dugan and offers to pay $50,000 to Blab if Blab: (i) rejects any advertising from anyone opposing his re-election and (ii) censors any posts critical of him in the weeks leading up to the election.  Dugan says he will think about it but is concerned that Blab would make more money by accepting the advertising.  Campbell tells Seymour about the offer he made to Dugan.  Unbeknownst to Campbell, Seymour approaches Dugan and tells him that Blab is a detriment to society. As a result, he (Seymour) will investigate both Dugan and Blab until he finds something to prosecute them for unless Blab takes a more public-spirited approach. Seymour suggests that accepting Campbell’s offer would be a great step to prove Blab is turning over a new leaf.  Dugan calls Campbell and says he will sign the contract. Dugan does sign the contract and accepts the $50,000 payment from Campbell.  Can Dugan void the contract with Campbell? Explain.
